Easy Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta
When it comes to dinner recipes, you know I’m all about quick and easy and this Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta couldn’t be more simple to make!
I also love discovering ways to cut down on the amount of time it takes me to get dinner on the table so that I can enjoy more time with my family.
I normally pick up a couple of bags of this pre-cooked chicken every time I’m at the grocery store and it’s what makes my Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta so easy to prepare.
I love that it’s already fully cooked and diced, which saves me a ton of prep work and extra cooking time, and it tastes delicious with no artificial ingredients.
Sure! Our family loves Farfalle (bowtie) noodles, but you can certainly use 8 ounces of your favorite noodle instead.
Fettucine, penne, rotini, or linguine would all be great substitutes!
Can I add in veggies?
Yes, absolutely! My husband and I love adding in peppers and onions for a more authentic Cajun meal, but you can add in any vegetables you want.
Spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, or asparagus would all be yummy additions!
Is Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta Spicy?
Not really, but it does have a smoky kick!
Cajun seasoning is typically made up of salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Can I increase/decrease the spice level?
Yes, you can definitely increase or decrease the amount of Cajun seasoning used in this recipe depending on your preference, but I’ve personally found 2 tsp is the perfect mild/medium spicy level. Even my kids love it and don’t find it too spicy.
However, if you want a more mild spice try reducing to 1 tsp.
Leftover Cajun chicken alfredo pasta should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Ingredients
Scale
Cajun Chicken & Pasta
8 ounces farfalle bowtie pasta (or pasta of choice)
(2) 8 ounce bags Oven Roasted Chicken (or 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and diced)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp Cajun seasoning
Homemade Alfredo Sauce
4 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed (I used 1/3 fat)
1 cup milk (I used 2%)
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
In a large saucepan, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain pasta, rinse with cold water, and set aside until ready to combine.
While pasta is cooking, add the Oven Roasted Diced Chicken to a large skillet and season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook over medium/high heat for 2-3 minutes to sizzle and stir until chicken is evenly coated with seasonings.
Next, slowly pour in the milk with a glass measuring cup and add in the softened, cubed cream cheese. Stir for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is creamy, smooth, and all of the cream cheese has melted.
Add in salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning and stir until evenly combined. Add in the grated parmesan and stir until combined.
Remove from heat and stir in the drained farfalle noodles. If desired, top with more Italian seasoning or parsley and enjoy!
